Library offers free class, event

FREE. How often to you hear this and it isn’t even true? As soon as they ask for your credit card number you begin to have doubts, don’t you? Me too, but luckily I don’t even have a credit card. I do, however, have a library card. Muriel keeps it for me behind the desk in the off chance that I would ever need to check something out of my home, the Pine River Public Library.

FREE with your library card is a class being offered at our Pine River Library teaching you to use your digital camera to do what you really want by processing your photos using Photoshop8 on the library computers and saving these fabulous results for yourself. This is funded by Minnesota Library Legacy Fund. It is truly free. We had originally planned to have this in January, but some of you forgot to call the library to sign up. Do it now! (218-587-4639).

FREE at the Warehouse Saturday January 22nd at 2pm is a visit by John Beargrease, Native American fur trader and mail carrier during the late 1800’s. John’s visit is sponsored by the Minnesota Library Legacy Fund and Kitchigami Regional Library System. Don’t miss him.

Hope to see you soon.
