Curtis and Loretta come to Pine River once again

Another free concert sponsored by the Legacy Program of Kitchigami Regional Library System, Curtis and Loretta, a husband and wife folk duo, visit the Kitchigami region in July. They will present “Singing Tales of Truth” telling stories of many heroes and heroines, some of whom they know the real people. This duo produces extraordinary harmonies and proficiency on a parade of stringed instruments creates an alluring frame for their poignant original songs, and carefully chosen traditional pieces from the British Isles, America, and beyond. Curtis and Loretta will be here in Pine River performing at the Warehouse, Saturday, July 7th, 2012 @ 2:00pm.

This free Legacy Program is funded in part or in whole with money which is dedicated to preserve Minnesota’s art and cultural heritage. Pine River Public Library will bring more Legacy Programs to the community like Charlie Maguire, Pop Wagner and Tony Glover’s rendition of 100 years of Woody Guthrie in a performance of Woody Reflected in October.
